Drawing as a Way of Seeing

Drawing as observation, analysis, and visual thinking.

Project Focus

In The Thinking Eye, I explored drawing as a method of observation, analysis, and visual thinking. Through seminars, I examined architectural drawings, artworks, digital illustrations, and spatial representations, focusing on how line, composition, tonality, colour, and perspective shape the way we perceive space and emotion.

Process

Rather than treating drawing only as a technical skill, this course helped me understand visual language to communicate ideas, atmosphere, structure, movement, and narrative. The outcome was an A3 visual portfolio documenting my analytical process through written reflections, visual comparisons, and personal interpretations.

Reflection

This project strengthened my foundation in Creativity & Aesthetics, especially my sensitivity to visual structure and spatial perception.
